March 2025 Newsletter

Can you believe it’s March? I can’t…I swear a week ago it was January. Time is flying by!

I’m working away trying to wrap up the Dark Romance I’ve been writing. My goal was to have it ready to go by April but it’s a bit more massive than any book I’ve written to date so we’re looking more at a late May release but I’ll keep you updated on that.

The title and cover reveal will be this month over on my Instagram, Threads, and TikTok so be sure to follow me on those platforms if you aren’t already.

WHAT’S NEW

I’m attending another book signing!!

I’m ecstatic to share that I’ll be a signing author at Slow Burn Books’ first ever Indie Author Market on April 6th.

One of my author goals for this year was to sign at 1-2 signings so it feels so freaking good to know I’ll be crossing that off my list so soon.

February has been so good to me and I hope the rest of the year continues like this. Not only was I accepted for the indie author market as a signing author, but I had a few bookstores reach out to me to carry my books. One of those is Calgary’s newest Romance Bookstore, Forbidden Library.

Forbidden Library officially opened it’s doors on February 22nd but I had a chance to visit the day before. It’s absolutely stunning and you can tell so much thought and love went into every inch of this bookstore.

They are carrying signed copies of both Beyond the Break and Below the Barrel and I even slipped in some freebie bookmarks and art prints so be sure to stop by and check them out if you haven’t already.

I’ve also made amazing progress on my Dark Romance WIP and I’m super excited to start sharing little teasers with you guys over on my socials. I released a little sneak peak teaser of the characters over on my Threads and the amount of DMs I received from you all sharing how excited you are was mind blowing and surreal. I’m so excited for you to meet these characters and read their story. πŸ–€

WHAT I’M LOVING LATELY

I must be on an audio book binge because I have ANOTHER audiobook to squeal over. I’m a bit behind on the Empyrean series, having only read Fourth Wing (but for some reason I own all three books). Onyx Storm recently released and showed up at my doorstep so I decided it was time to get back into the series.

The tricky part? I have a 1 month old and she’s definitely a contact baby so my hands are not often free (except for when I’m breastfeeding in the middle of the night). So I’m limited to audio books and e-books.

I started reading this on my kindle but was curious about what the dragons voices sounded like so I decided to give the dramatized audio book a try and there’s no way in hell I can go back to the e-book now (crying because there isn’t a dramatized audiobook for Onyx Storm yet).

This audiobook is so cinematic I almost feel like I’m watching a movie because the images are so vividly played out in my mind thanks to the sound effects and voice actors acting. The only thing to note is if you like to read along with your audiobooks, I don’t recommend doing that with a dramatized audio book because some lines are skipped and instead acted out through sound effects so it can get a bit confusing.

The story itself though has me kicking my feet and my jaw dropping. I’m about 60% of the way through though so no spoilers please!
